Shondaland has also recently announced that there is currently a spin-off in the works, which will premiere in 2023 alongside the third season.

Shadow and Bone
If you’re looking for all things fantasy, consider checking out the wildly adventurous Shadow and Bones. This Netflix series is based on two books in the Grishaverse written by Leigh Bardugo. Here, we follow the story of Alina Starkov, a young orphan who grows up in the lands of Ravka. As Alina gets older, she joins a group of map readers who help others foray into the darkness. She soon discovers her magical capability to summon light which is crucial in defeating the enemy.

Of course, we’ve got interesting side characters, villains, anti-heroes, and so much more going on in the series. And while there’s magic and mystery all around, you also get to indulge in romance and drama. It’s official that the second season is coming, and you can stream it in 2023.

Mindhunter
Mindhunter is truly chilling to the bone. The show is an excellent adaptation of the book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit. The book was written by real-life FBI agents John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. Both the book and the show follow the story of three agents Holden Ford, Bill Tench, and Wendy Carr, as they try to gain insight into the mind of some of history’s most prolific and dangerous serial killers.

Phenomenal acting and screenplay allow you to experience suspense, tension, fear, and so much more in every episode. The FBI agents continue to interview different killers, and the show gets more unhinged as it explores these criminals’ darkness and minds. But Mindhunter is not recommended for everyone, as some scenes may not be easy to digest. Unfortunately, it does not look like there will be a third season anytime soon, but you can watch the first two on Netflix.

The Haunting of Hill House
The Haunting of Hill House is another show that is based on a book. The story is truly captivating, with elements of drama, emotion, and, most importantly, horror. In fact, this show marked the beginning of Mike Flanagan being associated with horror TV. The episodes revolve around family members who move into a new home. We get to see how each character views certain incidents and their long-lasting effect on them as they grow older.

There is so much to love and fear, and the ending is worth the journey. The series was so popular that we even got approved for a second season, The Haunting of Bly Manor, which saw many of the old cast members take up new characters. Will there be another season for this anthology series? We’ll just have to wait and find out.

The story follows an aspiring author named Joe Goldberg, starting with him working in the bookstore as a manager. It is here that he meets Beck. But, of course, things take a drastic turn when we learn about Joe’s true nature and the extent to which he will be in a relationship with Beck.

Watching this show from Joe’s completely unfiltered viewpoint makes this show so unique. We are constantly given access to his thoughts and views, which makes it intriguing. The show has had three seasons since its release, and season 4 is set to come out in February and March 2023. It is one of the most-watched shows on Netflix, so don’t hesitate to check it out if you have the time.
