
Psoriasis – What you need to know
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease which leads to red flaky patches on the skin. The problem starts with your T-cells which is a specific type of white blood cell. When T-cells become active and set off other immune responses it leads to psoriasis symptoms.   Symptoms of Psoriasis   Psoriasis symptoms differ from individuals to individuals. It also differs with different types of psoriasis disease.  Some common psoriasis picture symptoms are as follows:  Red flaky inflamed patches on skin  Silver-white scales and flakes and patches on skin  Cracking and bleeding of dry skin  Itching and burning sensation around patchy skin  Swollen joints  Thick nails  Soreness around the patches on your skin   Treatment for Psoriasis   Dietary supplements   Fish oil, vitamin D, milk thistle, aloe vera, Oregon grape, and evening primrose oil help control the symptoms caused due to psoriasis. Make sure that any dietary supplements that you take don’t interfere with the underlying condition.   Prevent Dry Skin   Another important thing to do is to keep your skin fresh and moist. Dry skin can break and sometimes bleed. Use a sensitive moisturizer to keep your skin supple and prevent it from forming plaques.   Avoid fragrances   Avoid using anything that has an artificial chemical composition.
